TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms form the contract between Hall of Duty ("we", "us", the "Owner") and the person booking the equipment ("you", the "Hirer"). Placing a booking, paying a deposit or collecting a crate means you accept these terms in full.

You must be 18 or over to hire. The person named on the booking is responsible for the equipment and for everyone who uses it, whether or not they are present during play.

We hire equipment on a self-hire basis. No Hall of Duty staff attend, supervise or run your event unless separately agreed in writing.

A £50 deposit secures your date. Your booking is only confirmed once the deposit has cleared and you receive written confirmation from us.

The remaining balance is payable on or before collection of the crate. We may refuse to release equipment where the balance is unpaid.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Optional drop-off and collection is charged at 45p per mile from our North Yorkshire HQ, measured round trip by the most practical route.

Card payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card details.

Standard hire is a 24-hour period. Collection is normally the day before your event and return the day after, at times agreed in advance.

Late returns may be charged at the pro-rata daily hire rate, plus any losses we incur where the kit is needed for another booking.

All equipment must be returned in the crate provided, reasonably clean, with darts collected and barriers deflated and packed.

You may cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 7 days before your hire date.

Inside 7 days the £50 deposit is retained. Inside 24 hours, or on a no-show, the full hire fee is payable.

Poor weather is not grounds for an automatic refund — the kit is designed to work indoors as well as out. You may reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before your hire.

If we are unable to supply the equipment for any reason within our control, you will receive a full refund of all sums paid. That refund is the limit of our liability for a cancelled booking.

Consumer cancellation rights: where you book at a distance as a consumer, you normally have 14 days to cancel. Because we hire equipment for a specific date, by booking a dated hire you agree that we may begin the service within that period and that the cancellation charges above apply once the 7-day window is passed.

You are responsible for choosing a suitable, safe venue and for obtaining any permission needed to use it, including from landowners, village halls, schools or park authorities.

You must brief every player on the rules of engagement before the first game and ensure a responsible adult aged 18 or over supervises the play area for the whole session.

You must not modify the equipment, mix in third-party blasters or darts, use it while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or allow use outside the manufacturer's intended purpose.

You must not sub-hire, lend or sell the equipment, and you must keep it secure and dry while it is in your possession.

Risk in the equipment passes to you on collection or on drop-off, and remains with you until it is returned to us and checked in.

Fair wear and tear is expected and never charged. Darts are consumable and are not charged for.

Deliberate misuse, negligence, loss or theft is charged at the cost of repair or like-for-like replacement. We will provide an itemised breakdown before charging.

Ownership of all equipment remains with Hall of Duty at all times.

We hold £5m public liability insurance in respect of our equipment. This does not extend to your event, your venue, or injury arising from misuse, unsupervised play or failure to follow the safety rules we supply.

You are responsible for your own arrangements for the event, including any cover your venue requires.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, our total liability arising out of any hire is limited to the total sums you have paid for that hire. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of enjoyment, damage to clothing, or damage to your venue or grounds.

Foam combat is a physical activity carrying a risk of minor bumps, scrapes and knocks. By hiring you accept that risk on behalf of all participants.

Recommended minimum age is 6 years. Under-8s should play in smaller, closely supervised squads.

Eye protection must be worn by everyone inside the play area at all times. Head shots, physical contact and firing at people or animals outside the game are prohibited.

We may refuse or terminate a hire, without refund, where we reasonably believe the equipment is being used unsafely or unlawfully.

Our full safety rules and risk assessment form part of this agreement.

We are the data controller for personal data you give us when booking. We collect your name, contact details, event address and booking history.

We use that data only to process your booking, arrange collection or drop-off, take payment, and contact you about your hire. Our lawful bases are performance of a contract and, for our own service emails, legitimate interests.

Payment data is handled by our payment provider; we receive only a confirmation and the last four digits of the card.

We keep booking records for six years to meet accounting and insurance obligations, then delete them.

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

We use only cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary to make the site work — for example keeping your crate selection and, if you are an administrator, keeping you signed in.

We do not use advertising cookies or sell tracking data. Any analytics we add in future will be announced here and made opt-in where the law requires it.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but parts of the booking flow may then stop working.

All text, photography, mission briefings and branding on this site belong to Hall of Duty and may not be copied or reused without written permission.

Product names and images of third-party blasters are the property of their respective manufacturers and are used to describe the equipment supplied. Hall of Duty is an independent hire business and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any blaster manufacturer or games publisher.

If something goes wrong, tell us as soon as possible and we will work with you to put it right. Please raise damage or shortage claims within 48 hours of the hire ending.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on the day you book.
